Popular blues club opened in 1979. Some of the best Chicago artists play here every night. This club remains unequaled for blues ambiance. Blues fans of every conceivable type crowd this cozy room (which seats about 150) to hear stalwart Chicago blues acts such as Eddie Shaw, Magic Slim, Otis Clay & JimmyJohnson lay down the real deal. About the worst that can be said is that the crowds jostle and that the stools are uncomfortable, but the experience is authentic (the crowd is as knowledgeable as you can expect from a northside club) and the music top-notch. The tables are just a few feet from the stage, as well. You can also pick up a wide array of CDs, cassettes, T-shirts, jackets, etc.

Tip: Show up early (before 9) or late (after midnight) if you want to get in, because the line outside can get lengthy. Tuesday is "good neighbor night," where folks who live or work in certain local zipcodes can get in free.

Tip: It's also worth noting that they offer FREE PARKING with paid admission Sunday-Thursday.
